Andrew Petz

Andrew is the Managing Partner of Gold Medal Ventures, focusing on the origination, execution, and portfolio management of both venture capital and growth equity investments. Before this role, he dedicated 12 years to the M&A team at General Mills, where he led global initiatives in portfolio development within the human and pet food industries, working on deals that ranged from emerging brands to large-scale transformational transactions.

Andrew holds a BA from St. Olaf College and an MBA from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota. Before General Mills, he worked in investment banking at Piper Jaffray and in private equity at Tonka Bay Equity Partners. He enjoys the diverse seasons of Minnesota with his wife, Sarah, and their three children.
